This practice has been serving the southern Fairfield County for about 40 years, and every team member is truly invested in providing excellent care. Between the two doctors, they have almost 50 years of experience in providing oral and maxillofacial surgery treatment! At the office, you will have a spacious waiting room with magazines and free WiFi at your disposal. There are 5 operatories at the office, as well as a new, 3-D CT scan machine. There is modern anesthesia monitoring equipment, which allows for the monitoring of all vital signs. The office is equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED) and a fully equipped emergency cart. The practice is fortunate to also be able to provide you with ample free parking, and is fully handicapped accessible.
At the spacious office, you will be greeted by one of our two front desk team members who are happy to help you with your administrative and scheduling needs. They will do their very best to get you scheduled as soon as you require. They are often able to accomplish same-day emergency appointments, as often requested by the referring dentist. They submit all insurance paperwork for you (in network as well as out-of-network). They are knowledgeable, affable and available to help you.
Furthermore, there are four surgical assistants who are attentive, compassionate and CPR trained. They are also i-CAT trained and certified. They are committed to professionally assisting the doctors, facilitating comprehensive sterilization, maintenance and care of the surgical instruments, maintaining clean, organized surgical rooms, amongst many other tasks. The practice takes pride in the fact that half of the team has been with the practice for over 13 years.
The office is proud to house a brand new, state of the art 3D CT Scan machine. With this, the surgeons are able to take imaging, when indicated, right there at the office. They then use these high resolution images to get complete 3D views of bone structure and tooth orientation. This information is used to collaborate closely with the dentist who may be involved with post-surgical treatment. The doctors take great pride in working as a team with your referring dentist, always maintaining close communication.
The practice offers modern anesthesia techniques including Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) sedation and IV Anesthesia which enables you to be comfortable during surgery in the office, and return home shortly thereafter. You can discuss your needs and preferences with your Oral Surgeon to determine the right choice of anesthesia. For procedures that require hospitalization, the doctors admit patients to Stamford Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital.
The doctors value your time and make great efforts to stay on time for your appointment. They understand that you may be anxious about your appointment, or even in pain. Although they strive to run a smooth and efficient practice, and schedule appointments with time estimates, they can still occasionally run into unavoidable delays. The delay could be caused by emergencies. Furthermore, since this is surgical office, the doctors put patient care above everything else. This might include taking their time to complete a complicated surgery without rushing through it; or perhaps spending the extra few minutes counselling a patient faced with a grave diagnosis. The practice hopes that you understand that there are times when even meticulous planning cannot mitigate a longer wait, so please plan your time with us accordingly. Without exception, every patient will be given equal priority!
The doctors are available via phone at all times to current patients of record for their emergency, post treatment needs and concerns. After hours, our answering service will take your call and forward your message to the on-call doctor who will then contact you.
