Naushad Edibam, DMDDr. Naushad Edibam attended Boston University's Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he obtained his DMD degree. He then completed a one year internship, followed by a four year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL under the guidance of internationally acclaimed surgeons. During his residency, he was also involved in conducting research in the field of total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) reconstruction. Dr. Edibam plans some complex treatments using advanced digital techniques. This involves coordination with other members of the patient’s dental team, creating a digital workflow and establishing a balanced harmony of human and technological collaboration. Dr. Edibam performs both major and minor surgeries in the office, and additionally, if necessary, he performs outpatient and emergency surgeries at Stamford Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Edibam is a nominated member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society whose membership is exclusively for distinguished dental students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and character. Currently, Dr. Edibam is a faculty member at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he is actively involved in the training of the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Dr. Edibam is the Dental Implant Course Director where he enjoys training the residents in cutting edge materials and technologies in the ever expanding field of Dental Implantology. Dr. Edibam is a member of several national and international associations. Dr. Edibam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (board certified). He is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is he is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Due to Dr. Edibam’s training in both adult and pediatric anesthesia, he is able to administer a variety of types of anesthesia in his office. Dr. Edibam is an empathetic, attentive and approachable surgeon. He takes great pride in ensuring that his patients are given appropriate information and treatment options. He is also mindful of the fact that a visit to an oral surgeon can be overwhelming, and makes it his great priority to ensure that his patients are comfortable at all times. Dr. Edibam and his wife reside in Wilton, CT with their 2 children. In his free time, Dr. Edibam enjoys playing the piano, exploring music and opera, reading, and traveling with his family. Furthermore, he is a Certified Wine Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, and he enjoys creating wine pairings & tastings and visiting wineries.
