Naushad Edibam, DMD
Dr. Naushad Edibam attended Boston University's Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he obtained his DMD degree. He is a nominated member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society whose membership is exclusively for distinguished dental students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and character. He then completed a one year internship, followed by a four year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL under the guidance of internationally acclaimed surgeons. During his residency, he was also involved in conducting research in the field of total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) reconstruction.
Dr. Edibam practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including removal of wisdom teeth, bone grafting, placement of dental implants, with an interest in immediate placement after extraction, corrective and cosmetic jaw surgery, treatment of facial fractures, removal of maxillofacial tumors, TMJ treatment, and sleep apnea. Dr. Edibam also offers arthrocentesis as a safe treatment modality for certain TMJ disorders.
Dr. Edibam has hospital privileges at Stamford Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital. In addition, he also serves as a part-time faculty member at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he is actively involved in the training of the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Dr. Edibam is a member of several national and international associations. Dr. Edibam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (board certified). He is also a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is he is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACL), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Dr. Edibam is an empathetic, attentive and approachable surgeon. He takes great pride in ensuring that his patients are given appropriate information and treatment options. He is also mindful of the fact that a visit to an oral surgeon can be overwhelming, and makes it a great priority to ensure that his patients are comfortable at all times.
Dr. Edibam and his wife reside in Wilton, CT with their 2 children. In his free time, Dr. Edibam enjoys playing the piano, exploring music and opera, reading, and traveling with his family. He is a Certified Wine Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, and is also on the Board of the Wilton Candlelight Concerts.
